Outlook 2003 WinXP Pro SP3 to Outlook 2003 Win7 Ultimate

Adrienne Boswell

I have a computer whose OS (Win 7) is on C, and old drive with XP OS
is on a slave E. The e:\documents and settings\xxxx\my documents
\outlook 2003 has an outlook.pst file.

I have been able to successfully import the address book, but no email
got imported. I did notice that there are some files in e:\documents
and settings\application data\microsoft\outlook that are dated
yesterday (the last time the drive was in the old computer and not a
slave). I am assuming that those MIGHT be the files I need to
restore, but I don't know how or where to restore them to - am I even
on the right track?

TIA for any pointers.

Outlook doesn't have an address book and if it did, importing in to an address
book wouldn't import mail, it would import contacts.

Try opening the file instead. In Outlook, click File/Open>Outlook Data File.
Browse to the PST, select it, and click OK.
