OK. I have Office Basic Edition 2003 installed on my PC running XP SP3. I
recently installed Office Home and Student 2007. Now, when I try to open
Word attachments, I get a message telling me to "Please wait while Windows
configures Microsoft Office Basic Edition 2003". Also I get "A required
installation file SKU113.CAB could not be found". I am an Outlook user and I
would like to continue to use it. Is there a way to make it open a Word
attachment using Word 2007?

The only difference between the Office Basic and H&S editions is OneNote,
PowerPoint and Outlook. If all you need from the Basic Edition is Outlook,
then uninstall the entire suite and only reinstall Outlook.
