Outlook 2003, "you have replied"-icon behaves strange

I use office2003 on a windowsxp prof computer,
latest drivers and patches.

I notice that some e-mails i replied to have a
envelop with arrow "you replied" icon and some
e-mails only have the opened envelop icon (no
arrow). Im sure I replied though.

I dont remenber this seemingly erratic behavour in
earlier versions of OL (2000 / 98), and, but I'm
not sure about this, it seems like it only happens
since a relative short time, only noticed it
recently and I use 2003 now a couple of months
