Outlook 2003

Outlook express has stopped allowing me to delete read messages. The red "x"
will on the top menu bar shows depressed but no action is taken, right click
to delete shows no action, right click move to another folder shows error
message "the selected message(s) could not be moved. An error has occured" XP
sp2, never a problem until about two weeks ago. Any help?

Please clarify, are you using Microsoft Outlook 2003 or Outlook Express?
These are two different email clients and not related.

Microsoft Outlook is part of Microsoft Office, which this group supports.
Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer and has a different newsgroup to
support it.

please make a note of your size of the messages to be deleted.

If it is above 3 to 4 MB its tough to delete.

So my suggestion is to just remove the profile from the outlook express and
reconfigure the user profile.
