Outlook 2003

Hi,

My computer HD crashed. The shop was able to copy the contents to a portable
drive but I lost my programs. I loaded all my programs onto the new drive and
behold the only issue I am having is when I loaded my MS Office 2003 Outlook
through the MS Office Suite.

When I open Outlook to read my email, a "Windows Installer" dialogue box
appears every time it is attempting to load a single email). I receive 50 to
75 emails a day. This, as you can imagine, takes a great deal of time to
constantly click the "Windows Installer" 'Cancel' button each time the
"Windows Installer" Dialogue box opens.

I've learned that I don't have to hit the 'Cancel' button each time it
appears. Little help though as it can take up to a half and hour or more for
the emails to load into my email account.

I have gone through the Control Panel and removed the MS Office 2003 (entire
suite) three time but this issue still remains. The person at the shop told
me I needed to load the MS Outlook updates each time I reload the software
but alas, this has done nothing and he wants $85.00 just for me to take the
computer into the shop and he'll have it for a week or more. Which you
understand can bring my computer life to a complete stand sill.

Help? Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks,

Marcia (pronounced Mar-Sha)

Have you tried "Detect & Repair" of Office 2003? If not then I suggest
go to HELP, and here you will see a separate item called Detect &
Repair. Click on it and wait for about 5 minutes so that your Office
2003 is reset to MS configuration.

Let us know if this solved the problem. Otherwise you will need to do a
clean install of Office 2003 but I will point you to a tool distributed
by MS to remove Office 2003 completely and then to re-install it all
over again - another 30 minutes job!!
