After furious head scratching, Big Giblets asked:
| No I'm not on a VPN but..........
| In the office we use clara.net for email and ADSL.
| I have organised and paid for it so that we use the relay server for
| outbound mail.
| This can be accessed across the internet.
| At home we have wireless Wanadoo Broadband.
| Are you suggesting that the Wanadoo ISP needs to give us "permission"
| to send SMTP traffic outside of their network?

|| Are you on a VPN ?
||
|| 1.This may be a "permissions" problem
||
|| Some ISP's will not allow you to send emails from another server
|| (than theirs) without proper authentication
||
|| 2. This may be a security issue.
||
|| We will only allow those who are logged onto the domain use our
|| server to send emails. If one of our users tries to use a POP client,
|| he will have to use his ISP's SMTP server to send messages.
||
|| Thanks

||| Everything works fine in my office location where we have a wired
||| network. However at home where we have a wreless network I can
||| receive emails but not receive them.
||| Also if I create an email at home it stays in my outbox when I go to
||| the office and send mails.
||| I can still send emails from the office, provided that they are
||| created there
