Outlook 2003

Bryant Harris

When my hard disk (W2K) crashed I had saved my .pst file
on another partition. When I re-installed Outlook 2003,
applied the SP1a patch, and setup me email, etc. I know
have 3 choices of contracts to choose from, from the
dropdown box. The first 2 give an error, when I type in a
name to send an email to, where as the 3rd choice (and
they are all named contacts), allows me to see my list of
contact email addresses.

How can I correct this? I would like to clean this up by
just having one Contact choice, whereas the list of my
contacts would appear when I choose send mail to option.

Thanks,
BSH

If I understand you correctly, you have more than one contact list
displaying as an Outlook Address book - and only one list is valid.

Click the Contacts icon on the Outlook Navigation Pane. The name of all of
your Contact lists should display. Right click each one, one at a time, and
select Properties. Then click the Outook Address Book tab and make sure that
Show This Folder as an Outlook Address Book is NOT checked for the lists you
do not want to display as an Address book.

Hope this helps.

I doubt it.
User simply needs to delete the invalid Contacts references here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change.
