Outlook 2007/2010 Printing Issues

A general question to pick the brains of any Office gurus out there,
mainly to assess whether or not these requests are at all
achievable.

I have a handful of users that do not want to migrate from Outlook
2003 because of the way the calendar is printed and their refusal of
change. The main issues are as follows:

- Need to combine Saturday and Sunday into one column, as it does in
2003, but has not been achievable in 2007 or 2010 that I've seen.
Have tried third party apps to no avail.

- Each day needs to be able to hold a multitude of appointments. An
example I am looking at now has one day holding and showing 11
appointments, all one line with start times, one of which with an end
time. In 2007 I was only able to fit around 6 of these, and they were
more spaced out, even using the Calendar Printing assistant.

I tried more addons and third party apps that I can shake a stick at
to attempt to get 2007 to print like 2003, but it just doesn't seem
possible. Some addons get it closer, but not quite completely there.
The only way around this has been allowing remote access to a 2003 box
for the user to print calendars.

I've given up on 2007 doing what I need but I'm open to suggestions.
Any chance 2010 will address some issues?

Thanks a lot.

When pigs fly...

Did you try one of the Word templates? Those, the calendar printing
assistant, or an addin is the only hope you have of decent printouts.

Diane addressed the printing issue. You cannot have compressed weekends in
Outlook 2007 and later because of the calendar overlay feature Microsoft
added.

Thanks for the responses. I did try the assistant and template; they
were close but the user still rejected the printout.
