Outlook 2007 added to Office Home/Student

I have a new notebook with Office pre-installed. I activated the Home
& Student version simply by entering the product key on the purchased
package (no install needed, since Office 2007 was pre-installed), and
that works fine.

But I now want to ADD Outlook 2007 to it -- it wasn't included in
Home/Student, much to my dismay. How do I do that? I can imagine all
kinds of complications, such as:

* If I install Outlook 2007, what will happen vs the pre-installed
version?

* If I don't install Outlook 2007, how can I activate it, given the
already activated Home/Student?

* etc

So, if anybody knows about this or has done it, I'd be grateful for
some advice.

Thanks. --David.

Purchase Outlook 2007, which will also get you a product key for that
product. Amazon.com is a good place for good prices.
Uninstall previous version of Outlook. (You can only have one version
installed at a time.)
Install the new version, using the new product key.

For starters, I cannot uninstall previous Outlook versions becaus
there are none. I can't even uninstall the hidden copy of Outlook 200
because it's, well, hidden -- not in the uninstall list

Seems like the ideal way to go is to just enter the product key fo
Outlook 2007, exactly as I did to activate Office Home/Student, sinc
the software is already physically installed on my new notebook. But
cannot find a way to do that, including the so-called Activatio
Assistant

Anyway, I have the Outlook 2007 package and will just try to install i
and see what happens

So how do you know it's there then if it's "hidden"?

It wasn't! Thanks for the jolt of common sense. I guess I had forgotte
that home/student had been installed by the initialization software, an
was not pre-installed. So Outlook was simply not installed

I guess I got my britches in a twist over nothing. Outlook installe
and working great

Thanks. --David
