Outlook 2007 and Windows Mail (Vista)

Torsten Hambsch

Hi,

i have the following Problem:

While i had XP, i was using OE as a Newsreader and Outlook 2003 for
Mails. While browsing throught the Newsgroups, replying to someone i
pressed "Reply to Sender" and OE would use Outlook to send mails,
use the Credentials, Settings and the Sent Mail Mask from Outlook and
stored the Mails in my Outlook Sent-Items (on my Exchange Server).

Now, with Vista, i have Outlook 2007 and Windows Mail and there lies
the Problem: If i browse through the Newsgroup and use "Reply to Sender",
Windows Mail uses its own Settings to send the Mail. So, i want it to use
Outlook 2007 for sending Mails, using the Outlook 2007 credentials and
storing the Mails on the Exchange Server and NOT locally with Windows Mail.

Default Mail is Outlook 2007, but Windows Mail doesn't seem to care...

Regards, TorstenH.

It's how Mail was designed. The new live mail client works like OE did and
honors your default email client setting.
