outlook 2007 archiving

dear all,
i have a problem with archiving in outlook 2007, the settings for archiving
is based on modified date of the emails,how i can change it to be on the
received date rather than modified date .

You can't.

The only alternative would be to archive manually - which is to say sort
by received date, then select all of the items older than a certain date
and move those to your Archive folder.

You can't.
