Outlook 2007 b2tr - keeps asking for same saved password?

V

veri

It seems that at the moment, one of my ISP-provided email addresses isn't
working. I can't get to it by web-based access, either, so it's not an
Outlook problem.

However, while trying to connect for any unusually long length of time,
Outlook keeps prompting me for a password that I know is correct (and that it
should have already saved a hundred times). Why is this?

Maybe your security settings are wrong? E.g., you have activated SPA, or
SSL/TLS, but shouldn't? (or vice versa). Check the account settings in
detail against the ones provided to you by your ISP.

Took a look, but I don't think that's doing it; this never happened with
Outlook '03 (or Thunderbird for that matter).

Are all the settings correct?

Yes sir, they are. Same settings have worked for years across several
different email clients with no problems whatsoever.

Go figure. =/

Then change them :) Set them all to the opposite, hit OK, restart
Outlook and try again. If they don't work, set them back to what they
should be.
