Outlook 2007 Business Contact Manager!

I have the 2007 Beta 2 disks. Running 2007 B2TR on Vista RC1.

I previously used Office 2003 BCM, want to try 2007 BCM, but cannot fint it
anywhere on disks or the download site!

There are many refs to BCM on the 2007 Beta website; in one place it states
that BCM is included in the Beta.

Can anyone tell me where to find it, and how to install the 2007 version?

PS I know that the disk says it includes Professional Plus, and that
Professional Plus does not include BCM. So no one need remind me of this.
But this contradicts other info noted above that BCM is indeed included in
the Beta! USEFUL info/clarification greatly appreciated. jr

Hi J.R.,

On the Beta 2 download area there is a 'Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager" download that is BCM (not sure
why MS Marketing has the long title for it <g>, but it is separate from the Professional edition download)).

On http://microsoft.com/downloads if you go to the Office section and choose 'sort by date' on the column headings for the Office
files you'll find a similar listing for the Technical Refresh.

Thank you, Bob.

I have successfully installed 2007 BCM B2TR.

Installation notes:

It is not necessary to install the original B2 BCM first. In fact, the B2TR
install reqires uninatallation of all previous versions!

The B2TR file is a COMPLETE file, and was ALL I needed to install BCM on an
existing Outlook 2007 B2TR installation.

The install did not find previously migrated 2003 BCM data. I'm working on
that now....

Further info/questions on importing data:

The only type of file BCM will import is *.bcm.

A thorough search of my entire computer reveals NO such file anywhere (yes I
search system/hidden).

Searching for potential candidates reveals:

Documents and Settings\Myname\Application Data\Local\Microsoft\BCM\*.ldf and
*.mdf,

with similar files found in the previous (WinXP) installation.

But I cannot import these files.


Help appreciated!
