Outlook 2007 cannot attach file

I used to be able to attach documents or pictures, (any type of file) to my
emails. Then one day I was not able to attach. I cannot pinpoint any
particular thing that would have changed that. I can use gmail to send
pictures just fine. Please help.

I guess I forgot that "little" piece of information, huh? I click on the
paper clip (either one has same reaction add item or add file) the box opens
like it is going to let you select the file, then Outlook closes completely
and restarts.

Diane Poremsky [MVP]

I would start with Office diagnostics. If that fails, do you have mapped
drives? Does this happen when you open the open/find explorer in any other
office application?

I have run the diagnostics a few times. Nothing appeared to be wrong. I don't
think I have mapped drives, but I'm not really sure what they are. I can open
the open/find in other apps. I even tried inserting something from file into
a word doc and that worked. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I am
running on Vista. Someone told me I should reload Outlook. I have the disk
(Office Professional Plus 2007), but I don't know if I have to load the whole
thing from the beginning or what. Thanks again for all your help.
