Outlook 2007: Contacts are missing when I click To, Cc, or Bcc but

T

Trey

I recently got a new computer and migrated Outlook 2007 from XP pro to Vista
(prior to the migration, things worked fine). Post migration there are NO
contacts in the TO, CC or BCC: fields while composing an email message.
Although, I can see my contacts in the contact view.

I have followed the instructions in the following link to try and resolve
the issue.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA102194281033.aspx

Microsoft suggests to "Configure a Contacts Folder", yet my option is
dimmed. So it says to proceed to "Reset Outlook Settings". There Microsoft
Instructs me to do either:

1. "If under Name, Outlook Address Book appears" (which it does as type
MAPI) to then follow their instructions and select "Contacts" in the "show
this address list first" in the options for the address book, yet for me
there are no "contacts"...it is blank.

I then tried option 2. to create a new address book. Yet I am unable to
because there is already an address book that it won't allow me to delete.

Please help.
Trey .

As you are using Outlook 2007 and the the checkbox is grayed, you'll need to
make a new mail profile as you can't add the Outlook Address Book service
due to
a bug.
