I have read a lot of the posts on this problem, because I too have had a
number of messages converted to plain text from HTML in the past 2 weeks.
Although removing anti-virus may fix some of these problems for users, I
didn't want to turn off scanning incoming email.
I have found that a continual culprit is the automatic Microsoft upgrade on
Vista OS(which I have) where a 'Data' folder is added to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data. By eliminating
the 'Data' folder you could fix the 'no mouse' problem in Word previously
(check February/March posts). I just checked for the Data folder showing up
again and if it was there, maybe that would fix the Outlook problem too.
Guess What! After I took it out again using Regedit, I was able to receive
email in HTML format loaded with pictures and links. Not sure if this will
fix everyone's problem, but it fixed mine AGAIN!
