Outlook 2007 crashes when printing email

Hello ,
I am doing deskside support for a large company and coming across this
problem. Outlook 2007 crashing randomly when users trying to print the
emails. For some users it happened one to two times a day.
Here are the details on the issue,
All users have XP SP3, Outlook 2007 sp2, kb972363 (yes, this patch but it
does not cause all the pc's to behave in same way and affecting may be 20+
users), Xerox MFD printers.
I have recreated windows profile, renamed Outlprnt file, tested the new
printer driver, installed the printer locally by creating TCP/IP (Network
printers), removed and reinstalled Office 2007, ran office diagnostic tool,
defrag, chkdsk, but nothing seems to be fixing the problem permanently

I was unable to locate a file named outprnt on the computer. I changed
the
settings to view system and hidden files before the search.
I reset the page setup for daily style to - letter, smaller title font
(courier new), removed printing footer, etc.
After changing all settings back to basic values it still crashes
outlook
when trying to print, or print preview.

I was unable to locate a file named outprnt on the computer.

It's in %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook

We have been experiencing the exact same problems since the fall. The strange thing is it is only happening to approx 10-15 out of a few hundred users. We cannot replicate it as it happens randomly. It actually stopped happening about 2-3 weeks ago however on Monday it started again with the same users reporting the problem. We have done everything suggested on the outlook forums. I thought perhaps something changed on the network that fixed the problem temporarily but the network guys think it is a desktop issue. I cannot find a commonality with these users. If anyone can think of something, let us know!

I just got off the phone with MS. they stated that this is a known issue that happend with an october 09 security update. more specifically(sp), KB972363.
they could not guarantee that uninstalling this would work, however they did say that the June Cumulative update will fix this problem. so hold out for a few more weeks
