I am using Outlook 2007 SP1 on Vista SP1. Having issues in closing the
Outlook gracefully. Have to shutdown the PC and then force to close the
outlook.
No problems in sending / receiving mails. SCANPST reports no issues with the
Outlook.OST file.

File version of "Outlook.exe" is 12.0.6300.5000 dated 13-Dec-2007.

I am also using Outlook 2007 On Xp sp2. Outlook seems to close some times but
if you try to open it again nothing happens.

If you close XP at this point it will tell you Xp is still running and you
can force it to quit. After the restart Outlook give you an error message
when you open it. It says outlook closed improperly do you want to restart in
safe mode.

When Outlook will not reopen I have tried to hit control alt delete to force
it to close but it doesnt show outlook open. Then I do a restart and it
showes Outlook open and asks if you want to force quit Outlook.

Some times Outlook opens and closes fine.

Any help out there?

Thanks

Also when I am in the inbox under the serch box, another box appears and says

Ctrl-Alt-Del (Task Manager) is how I have been killing Outlook 2007.

I have Xobni, which does mailbox indexing, and may be the culprit.

To kill, you have to go under processes, and End Process Outlook.exe

Amazing, really, in 2008, having to do this...
