Outlook 2007 Email Sending Problem

79p930

Last week, Outlook stopped allowing me to send a new email. When sending a
new email, it appears to send as normal. It quickly enters the outbox and
then moves to sent items. It states the send / receive was completed.
However, the recepient never receives it. No error messages are observed.

If I click on an existing email and reply to the sender, it works fine.

I have checked with Comcast and they state it is an Outlook issue.

I have checked the account settings and everything seems in order. Nothing
has changed. If I use the "test account settings" tab in account settings,
the two tasks successfully complete and the Microsoft test message comes
through to the account.

I am stuck does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

This is a sign that Outlook did, indeed, deliver the message to whatever it
believes is the receiving server. Outlook moves the message from Outbox to
Sent Items only when it receives ackowledegement that the SMTP receiver has
accepted the message. One of two things can receive the message. The first
is the actual SMTP server. The other is a "shim" program that you have
installed and is wedged between Outlook and the server. Outlook thinks it is
the server. This shim program then acts as a client and sends the message on
to the real server. An example of such a program is an antivirus program that
scans incoming or outgoing messages.

Likely not true in any case. Server support people nearly always say that.

If you have an antivirus program installed and scanning mail, uninstall it
completely and reinstall it without the mail scanning feature. Then try
again.

Outlook puts quotes around all my outgoing email and will not send . HELP!

The quotes have nothing to do with it. Start your own thread and give full
details including your Outlook version and account type.

I am having the exact same problem. Did you get it resolved & if s
how? I appreciate you help. I have tried to disable my Avir
(antivirus) mail check but didn't fix the issue.
