Outlook 2007 - Every Email is apparantly sent twice?

The Sent Folder in imap.aol.com shows that every message is being sent twice.
The sendings seem to be sent about 30 seconds apart.
Anybody know why and how to stop it?

Since writing the original query, I have bought a new laptop and used PCMover
to set up the programs on the new machine.
The problem has migrated to the new machine and I am still getting
duplicates shown in my Outbox but having done a test by sending myself an
email, I notice that it is shown twice in my outbox in imap.aol.com but only
once in my Inbox.

Any thoughts?
