Outlook 2007 - Folder setup

I do not want message list to display
- flag
- catagory
etc etc

Is there a way to setup for ALL folders .. something like "gobal setup"? I
have several folders and setting up each is time consuming.

Modify the default Messages view and all folders using that view will
reflect your modifications. The techniques are outlined here:

Hello

Thank you very much for your suggestion. Here is what I found

1) command does not exist
outlook.exe /cleanviews

2) I think the article deals with setting of "7 day, etc". I want to set up
"fields" by "global View"

Any suggestion
Thabks

Yes it does. If you get the "no such command" error, then you are typing it
incorrectly.

What's your definiton of "global view"?

Here is the message that I get

"Windows can not find 'outlook.exe/cleanvikews'. Make sure you typed the
name correctly, and then try agian...."

By "global" I mean that instead of changing fields for each view, I woujld
like to change for ALL the views.

Enter this EXACTLY, including the space:

outlook.exe /cleanviews

You must change each view. However, if you have, say, 15 folders all using
the Messages view, changing that view will change all 15 folders.

Hello Brian

Thank you vefry much.
1) yes I was able to run the command... My problem was with space.

2) Even after running this command ... nothing changed. I do not believe
this is a problem

3) To set the views here is what I did:

views -> current view --> define views -> select messages

-> modify -> group by -> "uncheck the box.."

This did NOT change views for all folders. I did not find define views
anywhere else except the one mentioned above,

4) I tried # 3 with adding the following also

fields -> "remove catgagory

This did NOT change for all views.

I am using Outlook 2007

Thank you again

It should change all folders using the Messages view and it works for me. I
don't have any other suggestions. Sorry.
