Outlook 2007 Hanging Issue

I believe I am a voctim of yet another creative update provided by microsoft
in where they feel it's totally necessary to update my computer when
everything is working fine. An update that took place updated my office 2007
enterprise. Now when I click on a link in Outlook 2007, It hangs for 3 or 4
minutes before the link is opened in my browser.

I had this problem with office 2003 after a recent update as well so I
figured since I was going to get Office 2007 soon anyway, I may as well do
it now. Well, here I am stuck with the same problem after another update
took place.

After reading on the net about it, it said to uninstall and reinstall, which
is a very time consuming process. Another solution was to upgrade to SP3
being that Iam on an XP machine. I tried updatinng to SP3 and my system got
stuck with the update and I cancelled it after 3 hours of waiting.

Please tell me there is a fix to the original problem with the link clicking
causing a lag. Thanks.

Just not true. YOU control when your PC gets updated, not Microsoft. Oh,
do you mean you FORGOT to disable the automatic update? That's not
Microsoft's fault.
