Outlook 2007 Indexing issue after upgrade to Windows 7

Since upgrading from Vista to Windows 7 (clean install, upgraded to 64-bit
W7) and reinstalling Office 2007, the search function is either slow or does
not work at all.

1. Indexing shows complete.
2. I tried repairing my main .pst with scanpst tool. It fixed some errors
but did not help.
3. In Search Options the field for "Index messages in these data files:" is
blank and does not allow me to add any of my 6 open .pst files.

Any ideas?

When your pst-files are not listed then it's quite likely that it is because
of a mail profile corruption. Recreate the mail profile and see if it works
