Outlook 2007 Is no longer able to Search?

S

Scott Townsend

The Instant Search no long will find Anything anywhere. Simple Searches
like 'the' come up with nothing.

The Index Status says there are 0 Items Pending.

I pop over to our Terminal Server and Run Outlook and searches work Great.

The machine with the Issue is a Vista Ultimate 64bit SP1 machine with Office
Standard 2007. All the latest's updates for each applied.

Is there a way to delete the Index and have it rebuild it?

Thanks,
Scott<-

Hi Scott,

We can first try to rebuild the Outlook index in Indexing Options.

Rebuild the index
=====================================
1. Click Start, click Control Panel.

2. Click Switch to Classic View, and then click the Indexing Options icon.

3. Click Advanced.

4. Click Rebuild.

5. Click OK.

Rebuilding may take a long time, after indexing is finished, please search
again and let me know the result.

In addition, I would like to confirm if you can use Vista search to search
email content? Do you encounter any error when searching?
