I am unable to install the subject update. Error Code Update for Microsoft
Office Outlook 2007 Junk Email Filter (KB972691)

This update provides the Junk E-mail Filter in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007
with a more current definition of which e-mail messages should be considered

I have gone through all the online support suggestions and am still unable
to get this update to install. I currently have it downloaded. That's as
far as I can go.

Are you trying to install this via Windows Update or did you download the
standalone installer for this update?
There should be an error code mentioned as well.

I have the same issue. I have tried both Windows update and the standalone
intaller. The standalone installer does not give an error message, just halts
and says that the installation failed

Many seem to have had the same issue installing previous Outlook junk email
updates, both with Office 2003 and 2007, and XP as well as Vista. So far I
have only seen one entry claiming to have resolved the issue (which did not
work for me). I guess it is not considered a priority by MS, so we'll
probably have to wait for the next update and see if that resolves the issue.
