Outlook 2007 not allowing me to create/send/reply etc

I currently downloaded the Microsoft Professional 2007 Trial Version and when
I set up my email account and started receiving emails, but the buttons on
the top are grayed out for creating, replying and everything that has to do
with me sending an email... Please help!!!!!!
