outlook 2007 often won't start

About once or twice a day, Outlook 2007 will not come on when I click the
icon. Sometimes the screen displays, but no message will display and no new
emails will come in.

When this happens, the only thing I can do is to reboot the computer, which
is very inconvenient.

Have you tried loading Office 2007 Service Pack 1?

Sounds to me that the outlook.exe process was still running/did not
terminate correctly.
