Outlook 2007 .OST file problem

I am having several issues with outlook.
* It does not retrieve e-mail automatically. Was working fine untill
yesterday.
* Indexing stopped working. I went to control panel-Indexing Option-Rebuild
all indexes. But no luck. Did the search in outlook. The message says
'...items are still being indexed'.
* Scanned the .pst using SCANPST couple of times. Got errors first time, but
scanpst had repaired the errors, so on second scan, I did not get error.
* Scanned the .ost using SCANOST. It always failed. This is what I get in
the log message in deleted items...

* One more issue.. I work from home. Whenever I VPN to my company, and run
outlook, check email etc etc, close outlook, then disconnect VPN , then when
I tried to shutdown it hangs. I have to press the power button for few
seconds to force the power down.

As you can see, I am having lot of issues with outlook. I am wondering if I
all connected somehow. PLEASE HELP ME.
