Outlook 2007-receive and test OK-send button would not respond-no error
message, no response at all as if the button was dead-switched from HTML to
Rich Text and send button problem resolved itself.

More problems - Although send button problem resolved, received error message
stating recipients could not be reached... 553 sorry, relaying denied from
your location ...

Are you connected to a different ISP than your mail account belongs to?
For example, are you connected to the Verizon network but trying to send
Comcast emails?

mail is pop3 account through godaddy ([email protected]), I am connected to
Network in my office. The account is set up correctly and worked fine with
Outlook 2003. Problem arose when I switched to 2007.

When you view the send/receive progress, are there any error messages/numbers?

K

No error messages when I click send/receive. I even receive messages when I
test the account settings.

Are you viewing the send/receive progress indicator? The progress bar is
where an error would display. Have you checked your Application Event Viewer
for any Office-related errors?

I am viewing the progress indicator and there are no error messages. I
checked the App Event Viewer and there are no office related errors.

You must authenticate to the outgoing server.

Kathleen- Do you know if Microsoft is working on fixing the problem
with sending POP3 emails through Outlook 2007 that the latest "update"
has caused??!! I had Outlook 2007 configured just fine last week
sending and receiving my POP3 email account from work. I made the
mistake of trusting Microsoft and accepted the latest sw update last
Friday and now I can only receive POP3 emails, but not send. I've
been on the forums for the last 2 days and apparently this is a well
documented problem that lots of folks are encountering and complaining
about. Considering the amount of money we all spend on MS products
and the strangehold that company has on all of us, you would think
they would not post a sw update that trashes our ability to work
seemlessly!!

Thanks...Bill
