i have vista.
i verified closed in task mgr.

this is still happening...
every day the same reminder pops up thats over a week old. and every day i
dismiss it.

yes. if i open the item and delete the appt it disappears.
but that doesnt solve the ongoing issue of old reminders keep popping up.
i shouldn't have to delete the event to get rid of the reminder.
thats what the dismiss button is for.
so i delete the event then i have no record of the appt. either.
so not a long term solution.
i can't believe i am the only one having this problem with outlook 2007 and
vista.

I have the same issue and believe it may be related to recently moving to
Windows Mobile 6 on my mobile device. Ever since that time, I have reminders
for appointments that have already occurred appear on the same day of the
event for appointments from the week prior. The reminders occur both on my
mobile device and OL2007 on Windows Vista.

I just wanted to verify the issue, as btboat noted. The day that I
got a new phone with Windows Mobile 6 on it, I started getting these
old reminders on my PC. To make sure the problem is coming from WM 6,
I turned off Calendar syncing in my PDA phone, and the old reminders
issue went away. I assume this will require a bug fix and patch
release from the Windows Mobile team...but if there's a simple fix for
this, I'm all ears.

I have Outlook 2000 and don't have Windows Mobile 6 on my phone. But I have
these reminders popping up every 5 minutes. I've deleted the items from my
calendar, disabled the reminder feature, restarted Outlook and still I get
the reminders. No matter what criteria I put into "snooze," (5 minutes, 8
hours, 1 week) the reminder pops up every 5 minutes. If I try to pull up the
event, I get an error message that says the event doesn't exist. So if the
event doesn't exist, why do I get constant reminders?

2003. Ever since I've been syncing with Mobile 6 the reminders pop up after
I dismiss them the same time on the next occurance. Example: I have a daily
reminder set in Outlook. Every morning one pops up saying it's 23 hours
overdue even though I dismissed it the day before. An hour later the correct
one pops up and I dismiss it. 23 hours later, it will pop up again stating
it's overdue.
Any fixes for this yet?? I think the problem is in WM6.

I'm having the same issue and no matter what I try, I'm still getting the
reminders popping up. I've gone in and taken the reminder off of them so I
don't have to delete them, but that is rediculous.

I don't know what to do. I am really sick of Outlook and ready to just use
my wirelesssync online. Microsoft doesn't seem to be doing anything about it.

I managed to solve my problem. I downloaded some software called MDBVU32 and
was able to find a reminders window and tell outlook to delete the reminders
that I didn't want. I haven't tried synching with my phone to see if I get
more strange reminders, but outlook is good again.
