Outlook 2007 Rule Settings

B

Bob

Hello:

I am trying to set a rule so that e-mail from a paticular
sender(blockbuster) gets moved to a folder(named the same as the sender).

When I create the rule I copied the same settings from my other rules(they
work fine) but this one rule does one of two things.

1. puts a copy of the same e-mail in 2 folders, not one.
2. ignores the rule altogether

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

2 ideas for you:

check that none of your other rules relate to the email that went into 2
folders.

use the setting "stop processing further rules" in the rule you made and
make that rule run first (move up arrows do that)

What is "Stop processing more rules" do? I have 3 other rules besides the
one I described.

There are two things to understand:

Rules run in the order shown in the Rules and Alerts window (where you make
and edit them)
Stop processing rules means the Rules set to run after that one will not
run.

I hope that helps.
