Outlook 2007 - Same Name BUG ?

I want to report a problem about Outlook 2007 SP2 (12.0.6529.5000)
with Windows 7 (domain SBS 2008)

This problem is show when seen a attachment document preview (or save
as) and when document have same name (fax sbs 2008 FAX.TIF)


On Preview i receive error "can’t create the file and to that you need
check the permissions on the folder you want to save it in"

but!

after i clean the Temp Directory, i check outlook action...

every time i open a preview of file (FAX.TIF), outlook create 2 File
in OUTLOOK TEMP

FAX.TIF
FAX (2).TIF

when i go on other mail outlook remove FAX (2).TIF BUT leave FAX.TIF.

i go to other mail with fax.tif, and outlook create

FAX (2).TIF and FAX (3).TIF, because FAX.TIF is still present,

when i go on other mail outlook remove FAX (3).TIF and NOT Remove FAX
(2).TIF.

every mail i see the outlook temp increment FAX.TIF,

when Outlook reaches FAX (99).TIF give me an error.

This is seriuos Bug when receive many mail with same name in
attachment!
(example Fax service SBS)
....Microsoft don't resolve this problem ?

anyone know how to submit a bug to microsoft ?

exist GPO Policy for cleaning Temp Outlook Folder ?

or Reg Key for change limit temp ? (99 to 99999)

All Patch are present on machine

There is no way to extend/change the revision count from "99" to something
else.

There is no gpo to empty the Outlook's secure temp folder.

I run into this on occasion with some folks at work, what I do is change the
location of the secure temp folder to the user's regular "Temp" folder. At
this point, a simple logoff script that empties that folder via an erase *.*
is all that's needed.

As for submitting a bug to Microsoft, the behavior you have described has
existed for quite a few versions. You could try contacting Microsoft
support to open a case with them, but I wouldn't expect a fix for it. If
there are enough complaints about this, then MS would look at in a future
version to see how to make the experience better.
