Outlook 2007 Send Mail Hang Problem

T

Tom Bunzel

I have had a very difficult problem - one particular message with an
attachment would not go out. I tried other messages and they would go out
(inbound no problem) but then Outlook would not reopen after it was closed.
After rebooting, Outlook would reopen but then no messages would go out - I
would get a message saying Send Mail went out, but they were still in my
Inbox.
I would try the process again and it would show Sending with nothing
happening.
Sometimes I get the following message: "The operation cannot be performed
because the message has been changed."

I tried modifying my server settings but they are not the problem - sending
a test message would work all the time.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office, along with SP1 - nothing would
work.

I deleted my Profile from Mail, tried another profile, imported my PST info
and signature (big pain in the neck) - same thing happened.

Finally I tried the same recipient and attachment on another computer and
the same thing would happen there - on Outlook 2007. So it must be his
server or the attachment - finally sent the message with another attachment
and it seemed to go.

My problem is with Outlook 2007 though - is it corrupted or messed up?
Anyone have any ideas? Like everyone else, I need reliable email. Thanks.
