Outlook 2007 slow typing

Frank

When I am working with outlook 2007 and sending an e-mail the text is slower
than my typing. This was not a problem with outlook 2003. Is there any way
how to correct this.

Are you experiencing increased disk activity after moving to version 2007?
Each version of MS Office has a greater amount of code than the version
prior to that version. Each increase in code requires a larger amount of
System Memory (RAM) in order to preclude paging to hard disk.
The fact that your system has enough RAM memory to run version 2003 swiftly
does not mean that your system has enough RAM memory to run version 2007.

Thanks. I have a Dell Insprion 6400 with intel core2 duo pro. and 2 GB of RAM
from the factory. Would you recommend additional RAM?

I know nothing about your installed software, but IN GENERAL, MS Outlook
2007 "by itself" should be quite happy with 2 GB of RAM.
Are you experiencing increased disk activity (a.k.a. disk "thrashing")?
Do you have other large programs open at the same time (multi-tasking)?
Has your system become infested with ScumWare / MalWare?

Ive had this issue. its an add-in for outlook 2007 problem. For me it was a cyberlink add-in. Here's how to resolve.
click start
type outlook in the search bar
hold shift and right click on "outlook" in search results
choose "run as..."
when outlook opens, click tools, trust center
choose "add ins" from the left menu
at the bottom of the right page is the option to manage the COM add ins.
The one that caused the issue for me was just called "outlook addin" but if you look on the previous page, the location shows it to be related to the cyberlink dvd player. You need to run as admin to turn off most of these addins.
Then close and reopen outlook to test it. You may have to try a few different add-ins to find the one thats your problem.

I have this problem also. It happens in Word 2007 both when composing an
email, and standalone (i.e. outside of outlook). However, I already have all
Add-Ins disabled.

I am not experiencing high disk or processor utilization when this occurs.
It also happens when there are no other programs running.

I experienced the same issue during the Beta trial already and it became such
an annoyance that I uninstalled Office 2007 since it had a huge impact on
productivity. I thought for sure that this would be fixed by the time
Microsoft unleashes Office 2007 to the masses. Guess I need to wait a little
longer to purchase it.

Would be great if we could get some feedback from an Outlook developer
regarding this issue. Hello, is there anybody out there???

(Pentium 4, 3GHz, 2 GB of Ram)

Cheers,
marwo
