Hello. I am planning to update from Office 2007 to Office 2010 and am a bit
nervous on replacing my Outlook 2007 system. Is it easy to do? How does one
save the contacts list, address book, accounts and profiles. It took me some
hectic times when I converted from 2003 to 2007. Can someone enlighten me
on what is involved to convert versions.

Any help will be appreciated...........Ralph

Contacts, Mail, Calendar, Tasks, .etc is stored in the .PST file. While it
is always a good idea to backup your data on occasion, the upgrade form
Office 20003/2007 to Office 2010 is extremely painless.

1) Logon to Windows
2) Uninstall Office 2003/2007 via Add/Remove Programs (or Programs) applet
in control panel
3) Install Office 2010

Office/Outlook 2010 will see your previous versions configurations and just
carry them over with no fuss.

PS - The above assume you are not swapping out your operating system. You
are just moving from one version of Office to the next.
