Outlook 2007 unresponsive when Calendar tab clicked

Outlook 2007 (Vista) becomes unresponsive when I click the "Calendar" tab
(message: Microsoft Outlook Not Responding). I have cleared the form data &
run the /cleanviews switch; neither fixed the problem. I have a PST as I am
not on Exchange Server.

I am able to open a reminder and click the calendar to view the calendar but
when I try to click the "Calendar" tab Outlook becomes non-responsive. Any
idea why this is happening? I fear I won't have access to view my calendar
unless I have a reminder to click.

Two things the try: first, start Outlook once in safe mode (hold Ctr
when starting) and see if it still happens. The second, if that doesn'
pan out, is to try a new mail profile. See

I tried starting in Safe Mode without any change. I then created a new
profile also without any change. When creating a new profile, shouldn't I
have a new PST? I tried renaming my old PST so that Outlook would create
another PST but Outlook wouldn't open without it.

Any other suggestions?

The only other piece of information: I recently tried to import someone
else's Contacts so that they could view these on my computer. That process
didn't work. That is the only significant event I can think of that might
have impacted Outlook.

Thank you.
