I previously was running the R2 tech preview version of Office 2007 Pro
and installed the timebombed demo version. It's a step backwards.

- It's still slow
- I've had instances where reply/forward, etc are greyed out for no
reason that I can figure out, required a restart of Outlook to fix
- Now I'm being told I'm disconnected from the Exchange Server. It was
working previously, all other Outlook clients in the office work
(including my WM2003SE phone). Networking on my PC is fine.
Restarting Outlook does not fix this.

- Excel frequently stops responding for several seconds and whatever
I've typed is buffered and I have to wait for it to appear

This is on a fresh install of XP Pro SP2 with all hotfixes. (I blew
away the OS last night and started fresh). Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop
w/1gig memory.

Sounds like you have a virus scanner installed that integrates with Outlook
and other Office applications.

Not yet I don't. This is a brand new XP Pro install. The only things
I've installed so far that didn't come on the XP CD are Office 2007,
Firefox and WinAmp as well as running Windows Update and updating
everything (except IE7).
Sounds like you have a virus scanner installed that integrates with Outlook
and other Office applications.
