Outlook 2007 User Name Dialog

Installing Office 2007 Ent Vol Lic using OCT. All is working fine except
when a new user/profile opens Outlook first the User Name windows opens and
then goes away. We are not able to close Outlook without using Task Manager
to kill it. Then we open Work or Excel and click OK to the User Name Outlook
will work fine.

What can I do to either get the User Name window to stay with Outlook or
what setting in OCT can I use to not have the User Name window open?

We have noticed the same issue, have you found a way around this other than
starting Word/Excel first?

Yes there is a fix but I would suggest giving MS support a call to make sure
or verify what I am going to say.

With MS Support's help and 3 hours later we found that installing security
update KB 946983 was causing this problem. MS provide me with fix KB950282
which took care of the problem. So, after installing Office 2007 then Office
SP1 and all of the security updates I then manually installed KB950282. This
took care of the problem.

Like I said at the beginning double check with MS because they might be
fixing this problem another way and I don't want to point you in the wrong
direction.
