Outlook 2007 - Why does the program close on it's own?

I recently upgraded from outlook express to outlook 2007 and while trying
compose an email, outlook completely sutdown and close the application. Then
it happened again when I was trying to change some settings.

Any thoughts?

Not without any configuration information.

Note that going from Outlook Express to Outlook 2007 is not an upgrade; you
simply started to use a different application.
