outlook 2007 will not open

using windows7 for a few days - everything working fine until today.
Clicking on outlook 2007 in programmes menu does nothing. Any advice
gratefully accepted.

I have had the same problem for the last six hours or so. Desk top short cut
won't get it and nor will choosing under programs. I ran MS diagnostics and
no problem found but there definetly is a problem.
