Outlook 2007 will not show new mesages received

I installed Office 2007 beta as a parellel installation to Office 2003
to test it. Outlook opens perfectly and displays my contacts and
calender. I can also read email that I received in Outlook 2003. But I
can only view the subject line of new email - the email itself doesn't
display. Hovering the mouse over the email does show limited text (I
suspect its the first line) but nothing else. I haven't got the preview
window open. I then tried opening the emails concerned in Outlook 2003
and the same problem occurs then, but only if the emails have already
been opened in Outlook 2003. Email that hasn't yet been opened in 2007
displays perfectly and - now that it has been opened in 2003 - displays
perfectly in Outlook 2007. Does anybody have any ideas?
