Outlook 2007 with Vista SP1 hangs often

Michael

I've always (over many different machines and environments and the last two
years) have had Outlook 2007 hang every now and then. Usually, it's when I
press the Send button when replying to an email.

I installed Vista SP1, and now two different computers of mine are hanging
very often (say, 5+ times a day). Almost always, this is when I hit send
after replying, but sometimes it just happens "randomly" (examples: starting
Outlook, searching for a contact, switching folders).

This is annoying, because it results in data loss if I don't save my emails
before sending. If it could at least recover the email when restarting, then
it wouldn't be as bad (then I'd just grumble about large unmanaged
codebases). Just asking other friends, other people have mentioned the same
issue. I've waited many (5+) minutes to see if Outlook becomes responsive
again, but it does not.

I'm using Outlook 2007 on Vista SP1 (all English, 32 bit). RPC over HTTPS.

Here is the Watson information for a hang when pressing the Send button:

The hang signatures for the other hangs (like hangs on startup) are
different. I guess my hope is that other people are actually submitting the
Watson info for this and not just killign the process...
