Outlook 2007 won't connect Exchange 2003

Hi
I have 2 new Toshiba Tecra A7 Notebooks with the Office 2007 SBE installed.
When setting up at the clients office i went to open outlook and it says
cannont connect to exchange server.

I can see the server on the network i have added the server to the laptop
host file.

We have roaming profiles on the system so should i delete any reference to
outlook on the notebook and then reopen outlook 2007 and let it recreate and
files that may be needed?
