Outlook 2007 Word 2003

I use Word as my HTML editor for e-mail.
Is there no way any more to send to 'recipient e-mail' in word?
I can put icons up on tool bar, but grayed out.
Are 2007 Outlook not compatible with 2003 WORD?
I only bought 2007 outlook, not the whole 2007 Office.

In OL 2007, the option to designate Word as the e-mail editor has been
removed. Instead, the Word formatting engine is used by default for all
messages. So in effect, you are using Word for writing e-mails.

BUT I cannot use the mail merge feature either?
How do I now send to 400 people at the same time, same letter?

I thought that worked if you started the merge in word. If not, use a
filtered view in outlook with the addresses you need, copy and paste the
addresses to a txt file and save as CSV. Use the CSV as the address source.

HUH?

I dont know who is the dumbest,Microsoft for doing away with this,or me
buying the 2007 Outlook.
So in other words I wasted 100 bucks buying a program that makes my old word
obsolete for what I need it for???????????????

Why did you only upgrade outlook?

Since the beginning of time, the same versions of outlook and office apps
were required for many features to work. It's very well know and had you
done a little research before buying Outlook 2007, you would have discovered
that some features wouldn't work.
