Outlook 2007

Regularly (twice in the last month), I will open outlook and my messages will
ot send or receive. I have not had new messages for three days now. I sent
myself a message from another account, and it has not come through. The
settings have not changed.

One way to get around the problem wuld be to go back in time to when the
system did work, but I do not know how to take advantage of that process. Any
suggestions?

You haven't provided much in the way of information other than your version
of Outlook. What type of mail account do you have? If you view your
Send/Receive progress indicator, are there any error messages and/or numbers?
When did this stop working?

I have a Vista operating system. There are no error messages associated with
the inticator. The "preparing to send and recieve" notice keeps running, and
the indicator light never progresses.

After reading some past postings I have seen that others have had
difficulties with Outlook functioning properly under Vista. Could this be a
Vista quirk? If so is there a solution?

Thank you.

I'm confident that Microsoft fully intended Vista to work with Microsoft
Office.
Do you have any applications that integrate with Outlook such as antispam,
FAX, synch software for a handheld, AV, etc.? Is the firewall configured to
allow Outlook?
