Outlook 2007

Outlook 2007. Vista Premium. Any program I am using and want to use SEND TO:
the Outlook program will not open. It was suggested to make Outlook my
default, however that had already been done when first using Outlook. The
only way I can SEND TO: is by having Outlook open. I think this perhaps is a
flaw by Microsoft? anyone have the answer

Besides making OL the default in Outlook, you must also select it in Windows.
Use the Start button and select Default Programs to select it. You can also
just type Default Programs in the Start box to access it.

Outlook must be open to run. Using the Send To command from any Office
program will simply create a new message but it will not send until you open
Outlook.

After furious head scratching, Barb asked:

Windows has been selected as default, Outlook also. I thought Outlook should
open on any program on Send To: I realize it wont send unless the New
message opens>
