Outlook 2007

I would like to trial Microsoft Outlook 2007 and have downloaded the Trial
package for Microsoft Professional 2007 - when I looked for M/Outllook I
could not find it on my computer so presume that it did not download,

I then uninstalled Microsoft Profession 2007 and downloaded the Small
Business 2007, same thing - could not find Microsoft Outlook 2007.
Uninstalled this then installed the trial version of Microsoft Office
Standard 2007. Still no luck in finding Outlook.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium.

Can someone let me know what I am doing wrong????

I just want to download the Microsoft Outlook 2007 to see how it compares
with what I am currently using - Windows Mail - which I really do not like.

Am I able to run Microsoft Outlook 2007 and still use Microsoft Office 2000??

Yes but you can only have ONE version of Outlook in existence at any one
time. Decide on which version of Outlook you want to use.
If you want to keep Outlook 2000 then do nothing.
If you want Outlook 2007, then you will need to uninstall Outlook 2000
first, before you install 2007.

No not normally - uninstalling the application wont remove any data.
However, this is computing and Stuff happens! So make a backup of your pst
file anyway just in case...
How to backup and restore Outlook

http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/backupandrestore.htm
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA010771141033.aspx

There is out-dated information on some of these pages, specifically with
regard to Outlook 2003 and 2007.

The main points to note:
1. Do NOT use the import/export function to move Outlook data from one
version to another - all you need to do is to copy the pst file, with
Outlook closed.

2. Do NOT paste the copied pst file into the default location - paste into
(for example) your Documents folder and then do File-Open-Outlook Data File
within Outlook.

No.
