running win 7 Pro 64 bit. Loaded Office 2007 PRO and experienced error
message about size of .pst file.

I created new profile and imported data from old .pst.

In Control Panel, my MAIL icon shows: MAIL 32 bit. Why?

Dunno but you'll be back with more problems because against all advice
posted here daily you IMPORTED your pst file!
