Outlook 2011 Beta 2: Import from Entourage 2008

When importing from Entourage 2008, Outlook 2011 seems to lose the
entire folder structure. Everything is imported into a single inbox.
Is this the intended behavior?

Outlook 2011 will be released in late 2010, so support is not yet
available. If you're an official beta tester then please refer to your
NDA and instructions for the appropriate location for asking beta questions.

you're probably not able to discuss anything around the beta but if
you are I'm wondering if they have maintained links like in Entourage.

Why? I would suspect all (serious) developers use beta testers.

Corentin

I would agree Corentin and have acted as a beta tester for various
companies over 20 years. I just have never seen the MACBU look for
beta testers and I believe I read once where Bill Smith said they
don't use beta testers.

I suspect that they can easily find volunteers and don't need to
advertise for it.
Have you ever seen Apple or Adobe look for beta-testers?

Corentin (serial-tester ;-) )

Hi Kerry,

you're right, no beta tester is allowed to talk about the beta in public.

Mac Office has never offered public betas. It's by invite only.

Thanks Diane, I thought that was the case. Personally, I've never had
an interest in testing anything Microsoft. Its not necessary as they
have a huge resource pool. I did just finish though being a beta
tester for Quicken Essentials for the Mac for a year and although this
has been very contentious I'm personally happy with the results. I
think the product will do the Mac community well as I'm plugged into
its direction.

I've been a Microsoft fan for years and never really felt I needed to
be a part of any of their betas be them Windows or the Mac. The info
that I have on Outlook (I'm getting this through the back door) looks
very impressive. I think Microsoft is on the right track with Outlook
and I like what I'm reading and hearing. There's just one thing I
haven't heard about and that's links Ala. Entourage and I'm hoping
their not removed. In Windows Outlook they don't use links but hyper-
text style links which I don't like. I'm sure I'll find out this info
soon. It wouldn't be a deal breaker for me but this is one thing I
really prefer in Entourage over Outlook.
