Hi all,
We have a server which holds profiles/user folders, which are mapped
to drive letters on the network. One of the folders contains .PST
files that Outlook uses for mail storage. The path for these files
are usually U:\Outlook\Mailbox.PST. This worked fine until we
installed Brightstor Data Availability 9.0 replication software onto
the system, so that we can replicate the server to another site.
Although there is no active replication taking place, we are getting
reports from the users of Outlook saying it can't open the PST file on
the U: drive. This happens when Outlook is open for an extended
period (i.e, go into Outlook, read mail etc, minimize it, and then go
back in again). This is occuring when updating free/busy information
automatically, or just updating the mail folders.
Has anyone seen anything similar before? Is there some sort of
timeout issue we can alter in Outlook to attempt to open the file and
then give up after x seconds?
Thanks,
Andrew.
